ROHM recommends a thermal pad on the bottom of the package, connected to a large copper area on the PCB to dissipate heat efficiently. A minimum of 2oz copper thickness is recommended.
To ensure stable operation, ROHM recommends using a low-pass filter or a ferrite bead in series with the input signal to reduce high-frequency noise. Additionally, a 10nF to 100nF bypass capacitor between VCC and GND is recommended.
The maximum allowed voltage on the output pin is 6.5V, which is the absolute maximum rating. However, for reliable operation, ROHM recommends keeping the output voltage below 5.5V.
The KDZVTR6.2B is rated for operation up to 125°C. However, ROHM recommends derating the output current and voltage to ensure reliable operation in high-temperature environments.
