Renesas provides a recommended PCB layout guide in the ISL28325FBZ evaluation board user manual, which includes guidelines for component placement, routing, and thermal management to ensure optimal performance and minimize noise.
The ISL28325FBZ has a thermal pad on the bottom of the package, which should be connected to a thermal plane on the PCB to dissipate heat. A thermal interface material (TIM) can be used to improve heat transfer. Additionally, ensure good airflow around the device and avoid blocking the airflow with nearby components.
Renesas recommends using a 10uF to 22uF X5R or X7R ceramic capacitor with a voltage rating of 10V or higher as the input capacitor. The capacitor should be placed as close as possible to the VIN pin and have a low ESL (Equivalent Series Inductance) to minimize noise and ensure stable operation.
