  • ROHM recommends a thermal pad on the bottom of the package, connected to a large copper area on the PCB to dissipate heat efficiently. A minimum of 2oz copper thickness is recommended, and the thermal pad should be connected to a ground plane or a dedicated heat sink.

  • To ensure reliable operation at high temperatures, it's essential to follow the recommended operating conditions, including the maximum junction temperature (Tj) of 150°C. Additionally, consider using a heat sink, and ensure good airflow around the device. ROHM also recommends using a thermal interface material (TIM) between the device and the heat sink.

  • ROHM recommends using a ceramic capacitor with a value between 1uF to 10uF, and an X7R or X5R dielectric. The capacitor should be placed as close as possible to the VIN pin of the device, and should have a low ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance) to minimize voltage ripple.

  • To protect the IMX1T108 from overvoltage and undervoltage conditions, consider using a voltage supervisor or a reset IC that can detect and respond to out-of-range voltage conditions. Additionally, use a TVS (Transient Voltage Suppressor) diode or a zener diode to clamp the input voltage to a safe level.

  • ROHM recommends using a ceramic capacitor with a value between 1uF to 10uF, and an X7R or X5R dielectric. The capacitor should be placed as close as possible to the VOUT pin of the device, and should have a low ESR to minimize voltage ripple and ensure stable output voltage.
