A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane is recommended. Keep the analog and digital grounds separate and connect them at a single point. Use a decoupling capacitor (e.g., 100nF) close to the device.
Use a stable power supply with a low ripple (< 1%) and a voltage regulator (e.g., LDO) to regulate the voltage. Add decoupling capacitors (e.g., 10uF and 100nF) close to the device, and consider adding a ferrite bead or a pi-filter for noise reduction.
The recommended operating temperature range is -40°C to 125°C. However, the device can operate up to 150°C for short periods (e.g., during automotive load dump conditions).
To configure the device for low-power mode, set the EN pin low, and ensure the device is in shutdown mode. This reduces the current consumption to < 10uA. Additionally, consider using a low-power oscillator and reducing the clock frequency to minimize power consumption.
Use ESD protection devices (e.g., TVS diodes or ESD arrays) on the input and output pins to protect against electrostatic discharge. Ensure the ESD protection devices are rated for the maximum voltage and current of the application.
