A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and thermal vias is recommended. Ensure good thermal conductivity by using a thermal pad and a heat sink if necessary. Refer to the application note AN-1369 for more details.
Use a combination of ceramic and electrolytic capacitors with different values (e.g., 100nF, 1uF, 10uF) to cover a wide frequency range. Place them close to the device and use a solid ground plane to minimize inductance.
The clock signal should have a jitter of less than 100 ps RMS and a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of at least 40 dB. The clock frequency should be within ±100 ppm of the specified frequency.
Use the SPI interface to configure the device according to the datasheet. Perform a calibration cycle after power-up and after any changes to the configuration. Refer to the device's programming guide for more information.
The device is qualified for industrial temperature range (-40°C to 85°C). For high-reliability applications, ensure proper thermal management, and consider using a radiation-hardened version of the device if necessary. Consult with Analog Devices' support team for more information.
