  • A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane is recommended. Keep the analog and digital grounds separate and connect them at a single point. Use a 10uF capacitor between VCC and GND, and a 100nF capacitor between VCC and AVCC.

  • Use a thermocouple or a thermistor with a high accuracy rating. Ensure good thermal contact between the sensor and the device under test. Use a low-pass filter to remove noise from the temperature signal. Calibrate the temperature measurement system using a known temperature reference.

  • The maximum cable length for the digital interface is 10 meters (33 feet) for a reliable data transfer rate of 100 kHz. However, this can be extended up to 100 meters (330 feet) using a repeater or an active cable extender.

  • Check the power supply voltage and ensure it is within the recommended range. Verify the clock frequency and ensure it is within the specified range. Check the data transmission rate and ensure it is within the specified range. Use a logic analyzer or oscilloscope to verify the digital signal integrity.

  • Power up the device in the following sequence: VCC, AVCC, and then the digital interface. Ensure that the power supply voltage is stable and within the recommended range before applying the clock signal.
