A simple RC circuit with a 1kΩ resistor and a 10μF capacitor can be used to provide a power-on reset signal to the DS1302. This ensures that the device is properly reset during power-up.
When the power is interrupted, the BBRAM contents are retained as long as the battery voltage remains above 1.5V. To ensure data integrity, it's recommended to stop writing to the BBRAM before power-down and to avoid accessing it during power-up until the device is fully powered.
