  • The DS1232LP+ requires careful layout and placement to ensure proper operation. It is recommended to place the device close to the battery, use short traces, and avoid routing signals under the device. A solid ground plane under the device is also recommended.

  • The reset output (RST) is active-low and goes low during power-up. It is recommended to connect a pull-up resistor to the RST pin to ensure a clean reset signal. The value of the pull-up resistor depends on the specific application, but a 1kΩ to 10kΩ resistor is a good starting point.

  • The VCC pin is the power input for the internal voltage regulator. It should be connected to a stable voltage source, such as a battery or a regulated power supply. The VCC pin should not be connected to the output of the voltage regulator (VOUT).
