The maximum voltage that can be applied to the VM pin is 50V, but it's recommended to keep it below 40V for reliable operation.
The current limit on the DRV8703 can be adjusted by changing the value of the sense resistor (Rs) connected to the CS pin. A smaller Rs value will result in a higher current limit.
The EN (enable) pin is used to enable or disable the driver. When EN is high, the driver is enabled, and when EN is low, the driver is disabled. This pin can be used to implement a shutdown or standby mode in the system.
The DRV8703 has a built-in thermal shutdown feature that turns off the driver when the junction temperature exceeds 170°C. However, it's recommended to implement external thermal protection measures, such as a thermal sensor or a heat sink, to prevent overheating.
The minimum input voltage required for the DRV8703 to operate is 8V, but it's recommended to use a minimum of 10V for reliable operation.
