The maximum power dissipation of DRV603PWR is 2.5W. However, it's recommended to keep the junction temperature (TJ) below 150°C to ensure reliable operation.
The inductor value depends on the input voltage, output voltage, and switching frequency. A good starting point is to use the inductor selection guide in the datasheet or use TI's WEBENCH Power Designer tool to find the optimal inductor value.
The EN (enable) pin is used to turn the device on or off. When EN is high, the device is enabled, and when EN is low, the device is disabled. You can use the EN pin to implement power sequencing or to turn off the device when not in use.
To ensure output voltage stability, make sure to use a suitable output capacitor with a low equivalent series resistance (ESR) and a sufficient capacitance value. Also, ensure that the output voltage is within the recommended range of 0.9V to 5.5V.
