A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and thermal vias is recommended. Ensure a minimum of 1 oz copper thickness and a 1.6 mm PCB thickness for optimal thermal performance.
Implement a robust thermal management system, including a heat sink and thermal interface material. Ensure good airflow and avoid hot spots. Monitor junction temperature and adjust the system design accordingly.
Use X7R or X5R ceramic capacitors with a voltage rating of 25V or higher. For input capacitors, use 10uF to 22uF capacitors. For output capacitors, use 4.7uF to 10uF capacitors.
Use a shielded enclosure, keep the layout compact, and minimize loop areas. Use a common-mode choke and a ferrite bead on the input lines. Ensure good grounding and decoupling.
Apply the input voltage first, followed by the enable signal. Ensure the input voltage is stable before applying the enable signal. A soft-start circuit can be used to reduce inrush current.
