  • The maximum frequency of the clock input is 64 kHz, but it can be as high as 100 kHz with a 5V supply voltage and a 50% duty cycle clock.

  • To ensure proper power sequencing, the VCC pin should be powered up before the clock input, and the clock input should be low during power-up. This ensures that the internal flip-flops are properly initialized.

  • The R/C pin is used to select between the internal oscillator and an external clock source. When the R/C pin is high, the internal oscillator is enabled, and when it's low, the external clock source is selected.

  • The counter can be reset by applying a low pulse to the MR (Master Reset) pin. The MR pin is active-low, so it should be pulled low to reset the counter.

  • The maximum output current of the CD4515BE is 1.2 mA per output pin, with a total current limit of 25 mA for all outputs combined.
