A recommended PCB layout for optimal thermal performance would be to have a large copper area on the bottom layer connected to the thermal pad, and multiple vias to dissipate heat. A minimum of 2oz copper thickness is recommended.
To ensure proper biasing, follow the recommended operating conditions in the datasheet. Typically, a stable input voltage, a low-ESR output capacitor, and a proper layout to minimize noise and oscillations are essential.
