A good PCB layout for the AS5147-HTSM involves keeping the analog and digital grounds separate, using a solid ground plane, and minimizing the distance between the sensor and the microcontroller. A 4-layer PCB with a dedicated analog layer is recommended.
Calibration of the AS5147-HTSM involves setting the zero-point and the scaling factor. This can be done by rotating the magnet to the zero-point position and taking a measurement, then rotating the magnet to the maximum position and taking another measurement. The zero-point and scaling factor can then be calculated using these two measurements.
The recommended magnet size and shape for the AS5147-HTSM is a diametrically magnetized cylinder with a diameter of 5-10 mm and a height of 2-5 mm. The magnet should be made of a high-remanence material such as NdFeB or SmCo.
The AS5147-HTSM has a built-in temperature sensor that can be used to compensate for temperature drift. The temperature data can be used to adjust the zero-point and scaling factor of the sensor. Additionally, the sensor can be calibrated at multiple temperatures to minimize the effect of temperature drift.
The recommended power-up sequence for the AS5147-HTSM is to first power up the analog supply voltage (VDDA), then the digital supply voltage (VDDD), and finally the clock signal. This ensures that the analog circuitry is powered up before the digital circuitry.
