Panasonic recommends a PCB layout with a solid ground plane, short and wide traces for the high-current paths, and a decoupling capacitor (e.g., 100nF) close to the IC to reduce noise and ensure stable operation.
The AQJ112V has a thermal pad on the bottom, which should be connected to a heat sink or a copper plane on the PCB. Apply a thermal interface material (e.g., thermal tape or thermal grease) to improve heat transfer. Ensure the heat sink is properly secured to the PCB to prevent damage or detachment.
Although the datasheet specifies a maximum rating of 6.5V for VIN and VCC, it's recommended to keep the input voltage below 5.5V to ensure reliable operation and prevent damage to the IC.
The AQJ112V is rated for operation up to 125°C, but its performance and reliability may degrade at high temperatures. Ensure proper heat sinking and consider derating the IC's current handling capability at elevated temperatures.
Check the input voltage, current, and temperature to ensure they are within the recommended operating conditions. Verify the PCB layout and component placement to ensure proper noise reduction and heat dissipation. Use an oscilloscope to monitor the IC's internal signals and identify potential issues.
