A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate analog ground plane is recommended. Keep analog and digital traces separate, and use a common mode filter to reduce noise.
Calibrate the device using the on-chip calibration registers. Ensure good thermal contact between the device and the PCB. Use a thermocouple or thermistor for accurate temperature measurement.
The maximum clock frequency is 32.768 kHz. However, the device can operate at lower frequencies, and the clock frequency can be divided internally to generate lower frequencies.
Use a serial peripheral interface (SPI) or inter-integrated circuit (I2C) interface to communicate with the microcontroller. Ensure proper signal level translation and use a level shifter if necessary.
The POR timing is approximately 10 ms. The device requires a minimum of 10 ms to power up and stabilize after power-on.
