A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and thermal vias under the device is recommended. This helps to dissipate heat efficiently and reduces thermal resistance.
Calibrate the device using the CAL pin, and ensure that the thermistor is properly connected and not subject to self-heating. Also, use a low-noise, low-impedance connection to the thermistor.
