Texas Instruments recommends a 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane, and to keep the analog and digital signals separate. The analog signals should be routed close to the ADC, and the digital signals should be routed away from the ADC. Additionally, decoupling capacitors should be placed close to the power pins.
The ADS8519IDB has an internal calibration circuit that can be enabled by setting the CAL pin high. The calibration process involves shorting the input pins to the internal reference voltage, and then adjusting the offset and gain registers to achieve the desired accuracy.
The maximum sampling rate of the ADS8519IDB is 200 kSPS. The power consumption increases with the sampling rate, and at maximum sampling rate, the power consumption is approximately 35 mW.
The ADS8519IDB can be interfaced with a microcontroller using the SPI or I2C protocol. The device supports 3-wire SPI and I2C protocols, and the communication protocol can be selected using the CS and SCL pins.
The input impedance of the ADS8519IDB is approximately 10 kΩ. The input impedance can affect the input signal, and it is recommended to use a buffer amplifier or an op-amp to drive the input signal if the source impedance is high.
