The recommended power-on sequence is to apply VCC first, followed by AVCC, and then the analog input signal. This ensures proper operation and prevents damage to the device.
To minimize noise and ensure accurate conversions, keep the analog input traces short and away from digital traces. Use a solid ground plane and decouple the power supplies with 0.1uF and 10uF capacitors. Also, ensure that the analog input signal is properly filtered and buffered before connecting it to the ADS8341EB.
The maximum sampling rate of the ADS8341EB is 100kSPS. As the sampling rate increases, the power consumption also increases. To minimize power consumption, reduce the sampling rate or use the device's power-down mode when not in use.
The ADS8341EB outputs 16-bit data in a serial format. The output data is in two's complement format, with the most significant bit (MSB) first. The data is clocked out on the SDO pin, and the clock frequency is determined by the SCLK pin.
The REF pin is the reference voltage input for the ADS8341EB. Connect a 2.5V reference voltage source to the REF pin, and ensure that it is decoupled with a 0.1uF capacitor to minimize noise.
