A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane is recommended. Keep the analog and digital grounds separate and connect them at a single point. Use short, direct traces for the input and output signals, and avoid routing signals under the device.
Use a low-ESR capacitor (e.g., 10uF) between the VCC and GND pins, and a 0.1uF capacitor between the AVCC and AGND pins. Add a 10uF capacitor between the DVCC and DGND pins if using the digital interface. Ensure the power supply is clean and well-regulated.
The recommended input signal range is 0.5V to 2.5V, with a maximum input signal amplitude of 2.5V. Signals outside this range may not be accurately converted.
Use a low-jitter clock source, and ensure the input signal is properly filtered and terminated. Use a high-quality, low-capacitance PCB material, and minimize the distance between the ADC and the clock source.
The maximum clock frequency supported is 1.2 GHz, but the device can operate at lower frequencies with reduced power consumption.
