A good layout and routing practice is to keep the analog and digital grounds separate, use a solid ground plane, and keep the signal traces short and away from noise sources. Also, use a low-ESR capacitor for the VCC pin and a 0.1uF capacitor for the AVCC pin.
The ADM238LARZ requires a single 5V power supply. Ensure that the power supply is clean and regulated. Power sequencing is not critical, but it's recommended to power up the VCC pin before the AVCC pin.
