  • A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane is recommended. Keep the input and output traces short and away from each other to minimize coupling. Use a common-mode choke or a ferrite bead to filter the power supply.

  • Adjust the bias voltage (VBIAS) to achieve the optimal quiescent current (IQ) for the desired linearity. Typically, IQ = 10-20 mA for optimal linearity. Monitor the output power and adjust VBIAS accordingly.

  • The maximum input power is -10 dBm (0.1 mW) for optimal performance. Exceeding this limit may cause compression and distortion.

  • Use a temperature-compensated bias circuit to ensure the bias voltage (VBIAS) tracks the temperature variation. This can be achieved using a thermistor or a temperature sensor to adjust VBIAS accordingly.

  • Use a 100 nF to 1 μF decoupling capacitor between the power supply pins (VCC and VEE) to ground to filter out noise and ensure stable operation.
