The recommended power-up sequence is to apply VCC first, followed by AVCC, and then the analog input signal. This ensures proper operation and prevents damage to the device.
To optimize performance, use a low-noise power supply, decouple the power pins with 0.1uF and 10uF capacitors, and use a low-noise analog input signal. Additionally, consider using a shielded enclosure and minimizing digital noise coupling.
The maximum allowable input signal amplitude is 2.5Vpp differential, which is the maximum rating for the device. Exceeding this amplitude may result in distortion, clipping, or damage to the device.
For single-ended operation, connect the negative input pin to AGND and apply the signal to the positive input pin. For differential operation, apply the differential signal to the positive and negative input pins, ensuring that the common-mode voltage is within the specified range.
The VREF pin is used to set the internal reference voltage for the ADC. It can be connected to an external reference voltage source or left unconnected to use the internal reference voltage.
