The AD8226ARMZ is a high-gain, high-impedance amplifier, so it's crucial to follow proper layout and placement guidelines to minimize noise and ensure optimal performance. Place the amplifier close to the signal source, use a ground plane, and keep the input traces short and shielded. Also, avoid running digital lines near the amplifier's inputs.
To choose the correct gain resistor (Rg), you need to consider the desired gain, input impedance, and noise requirements. Use the gain equation provided in the datasheet to calculate the required Rg value. Also, consider the trade-off between gain and bandwidth, as higher gains may reduce the bandwidth.
The AD8226ARMZ can handle input voltages up to ±Vsupply (±15V for the ±15V supply option). However, it's recommended to limit the input voltage to ±10V to ensure reliable operation and prevent damage to the device.
To filter out noise and interference, use a combination of passive and active filtering techniques. Add capacitors in parallel with the input resistors to filter out high-frequency noise, and consider adding a low-pass filter at the output to remove high-frequency components. Also, use shielding and grounding techniques to minimize electromagnetic interference.
To ensure stable operation, decouple the power supply lines with 10uF and 100nF capacitors in parallel, placed close to the device. Also, add a 100nF capacitor between the V+ and V- pins to bypass any high-frequency noise.
