A good layout and routing practice is to keep the analog and digital grounds separate, use a solid ground plane, and keep the analog and digital signals separate. Also, use a low-ESR capacitor for the AVDD and DVDD pins, and keep the decoupling capacitors close to the pins.
To optimize performance in a noisy environment, use a low-pass filter at the input, use a shielded cable for the analog input, and consider using a common-mode filter. Also, ensure that the AD7762BSVZ is placed away from noisy components and that the PCB is well-shielded.
A low-jitter clock source is recommended, such as a crystal oscillator or a high-quality clock generator. To minimize clock jitter, use a clock source with a low phase noise, and ensure that the clock signal is properly terminated and shielded.
Calibration involves adjusting the offset and gain of the ADC. Use the CAL pin to initiate calibration, and follow the calibration procedure outlined in the datasheet. Also, ensure that the input signal is within the specified range and that the ADC is operated within its specified temperature range.
The recommended power-up sequence is to power up the AVDD pin first, followed by the DVDD pin. Ensure that the power supplies are stable and within the specified voltage range before applying the clock signal.
