The recommended power-up sequence is to apply VDD first, followed by VREF, and then the clock signal. This ensures that the internal bias voltage is established before the clock is applied.
The analog input range can be optimized by selecting the appropriate gain setting and adjusting the reference voltage (VREF) to match the input signal amplitude. The gain setting can be adjusted through the SPI interface.
The maximum sampling rate of the AD7357 is 500 kSPS. However, the actual sampling rate may be limited by the system's clock frequency, analog input bandwidth, and other factors.
The AD7357 has internal overvoltage protection on the analog input pins. However, it's still recommended to use external protection circuitry, such as voltage-limiting resistors and diodes, to prevent damage from excessive voltage levels.
It's recommended to keep analog and digital signals separate, using separate ground planes and routing the analog signals away from the digital signals. Additionally, use short, direct traces for the analog input signals and avoid crossing digital signals over the analog signals.
