The recommended power-up sequence is to apply the analog supply voltage (VCC) before the digital supply voltage (VDD). This ensures that the internal analog circuitry is powered up before the digital circuitry.
To optimize the layout, keep the analog and digital grounds separate, use a solid ground plane, and keep the input and output traces short and direct. Also, avoid running digital traces near the analog input pins.
The maximum allowable input voltage for the AD636JDZ is 15V, which is the absolute maximum rating. However, the recommended input voltage range is 0V to 10V to ensure accurate conversion.
The AD636JDZ outputs 16-bit data in a 2's complement format. The output data should be latched into a register or a microcontroller on the falling edge of the RDY signal to ensure accurate data capture.
The NOISE pin is an internal noise reduction pin. Connecting a 10nF capacitor from the NOISE pin to the AGND pin helps to reduce the noise in the analog-to-digital conversion process.
