The recommended power-up sequence is to apply VDD first, followed by AVDD, and then the digital supplies (VCC and VEE). This ensures that the internal voltage regulators are powered up correctly.
To ensure accurate voltage output, it is essential to decouple the AVDD and VDD pins with 0.1uF and 10uF capacitors, respectively. Additionally, use a low-noise, low-impedance power supply, and minimize noise on the digital inputs.
The maximum output current of the AD5684 is 5mA. Exceeding this current may cause the output voltage to droop or the device to overheat.
The AD5684 can be interfaced with a microcontroller using a standard SPI interface. The microcontroller should be configured as a SPI master, and the AD5684 should be configured as a SPI slave. Ensure that the microcontroller's clock frequency is within the AD5684's specified clock frequency range.
The CLR (Clear) pin is an active-low input that resets the DAC output to zero-scale (minimum output voltage) when pulled low. This pin can be used to reset the DAC output during power-up or when a reset is required.
