The recommended power-up sequence is to apply the analog supply voltage (VCC) first, followed by the digital supply voltage (VDD). This ensures that the analog circuitry is powered up before the digital circuitry.
To ensure accurate voltage reference output, it is essential to decouple the VREF pin with a 0.1uF capacitor to ground, and also to use a low-impedance voltage source for the VCC pin.
The AD558SD can drive up to 100pF of capacitive load on the VOUT pin. Exceeding this limit may cause oscillations or instability in the output voltage.
To minimize noise and interference, use a ground plane, keep the analog and digital grounds separate, and use shielding or twisted pairs for signal wiring. Also, avoid running digital signals near the analog signal paths.
The thermal shutdown temperature of the AD558SD is typically around 150°C. If the junction temperature exceeds this value, the device will shut down to prevent damage.
