  • The recommended power-up sequence is to apply the analog supply voltage (VCC) first, followed by the digital supply voltage (VDD). This ensures that the analog circuitry is powered up before the digital circuitry.

  • To ensure accurate voltage reference output, it is essential to decouple the VREF pin with a 0.1uF capacitor to ground, and also to use a low-impedance voltage source for the VCC pin.

  • The AD558SD can drive up to 100pF of capacitive load on the VOUT pin. Exceeding this limit may cause oscillations or instability in the output voltage.

  • To minimize noise and interference, use a ground plane, keep the analog and digital grounds separate, and use shielding or twisted pairs for signal wiring. Also, avoid running digital signals near the analog signal paths.

  • The thermal shutdown temperature of the AD558SD is typically around 150°C. If the junction temperature exceeds this value, the device will shut down to prevent damage.
