The recommended power-up sequence is to apply the analog supply voltage (VCC) first, followed by the digital supply voltage (VDD). This ensures that the internal analog circuitry is powered up before the digital interface.
To ensure accurate voltage reference performance, it is recommended to decouple the VREF pin with a 10uF capacitor to GND, and to keep the VREF pin away from noise sources and high-frequency signals.
