  • The recommended power-up sequence is to apply VDD first, followed by AVDD, and then the digital supplies (DVDD and OVDD). This ensures that the internal voltage regulators are powered up correctly.

  • To optimize the ADC performance, ensure that the analog input signal is properly filtered and buffered, and that the ADC clock frequency is set to the recommended value. Additionally, minimize digital noise and ensure good power supply decoupling.

  • The maximum output current of the DAC is 5 mA. Exceeding this current may cause damage to the device or affect its performance.

  • The AD5338's serial interface can be configured as either a 3-wire or 4-wire interface. The 3-wire interface uses the SCLK, SDIN, and SDO pins, while the 4-wire interface uses the SCLK, SDIN, SDO, and SYNC pins. The interface mode is selected by the state of the SYNC pin during power-up.

  • The internal voltage regulators generate the necessary internal voltages for the ADC and DAC, allowing the device to operate from a single external power supply. This simplifies the design and reduces the number of external components required.
