The recommended power-up sequence is to apply VDD before applying VREF. This ensures that the internal circuitry is properly biased before the reference voltage is applied.
To ensure accurate voltage output, it is essential to decouple the VREF pin with a 10nF capacitor to GND, and to use a low-noise, low-impedance voltage source for VREF.
The AD5110 can drive capacitive loads up to 1nF. However, it is recommended to limit the capacitance to 100pF or less to ensure stability and prevent oscillations.
To implement a voltage buffer, connect the output of the AD5110 to the input of an op-amp, and then connect the output of the op-amp to the desired load. This ensures a high-impedance input and a low-impedance output.
The thermal shutdown temperature of the AD5110 is typically 150°C. If the junction temperature exceeds this value, the device will shut down to prevent damage.
