A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane is recommended. Keep the sensitive analog traces away from the digital traces and ensure a low-impedance path for the current sense lines.
Use a low-impedance current sense resistor (RSENSE) and ensure it is placed close to the device. Also, use a low-noise, low-impedance power supply and keep the PCB layout clean and well-decoupled.
The recommended operating temperature range is -40°C to 125°C. However, the device can operate up to 150°C for short periods of time, but this may affect its reliability and lifespan.
The output voltage of the ACS120-7SFP is a differential signal. Use a differential amplifier or a instrumentation amplifier to condition the signal and ensure a high common-mode rejection ratio (CMRR) to reject noise.
