A good PCB layout for the VEMD6010X01 should ensure that the photodiode and emitter are aligned properly, and the traces are kept short and wide to minimize noise and reflections. A ground plane is also recommended to reduce electromagnetic interference.
The VEMD6010X01 emitter can output up to 1A of current. To handle this, use a suitable current-limiting resistor or a dedicated current driver IC to prevent damage to the device or other components on the board.
While the datasheet specifies an operating temperature range of -40°C to 100°C, it's recommended to operate the VEMD6010X01 within a narrower range of 0°C to 70°C for optimal performance and reliability.
To ensure accuracy, use a transimpedance amplifier (TIA) with a high gain and low noise to amplify the photodiode's output signal. Additionally, use a low-pass filter to remove noise and high-frequency components.
Store the VEMD6010X01 in a dry, dark place with a temperature range of 5°C to 30°C and relative humidity below 60%. Avoid exposing the device to direct sunlight, moisture, or extreme temperatures.
