The recommended power-up sequence is to apply VCC first, followed by VDD, and then the analog power supplies (VAA and VDA). This ensures that the internal voltage regulators are powered up correctly.
To configure the PCM1780 for master clock mode, set the MCKI pin to the desired clock frequency, and set the MCKO pin to output the clock signal. Then, set the BCK pin to output the bit clock signal, and set the LRCK pin to output the left-right clock signal.
The maximum input voltage for the analog inputs is 2.5Vrms. Exceeding this voltage may cause distortion or damage to the device.
To optimize the PCB layout for the PCM1780, keep the analog and digital power supplies separate, use a solid ground plane, and keep the analog input traces short and shielded. Also, place the device close to the analog input sources to minimize noise pickup.
The recommended decoupling capacitor value for the PCM1780 is 10uF to 22uF, placed as close as possible to the device's power pins.
