The PCA9554 can support I2C bus frequencies up to 400 kHz.
To use an external reset signal, connect the reset signal to the RST pin and set the RST_POL bit in the Configuration Register to 1. This will allow the external reset signal to reset the PCA9554.
The internal pull-up resistors on the I2C bus lines are used to pull the SCL and SDA lines high when they are not being driven by the master or slave devices. This helps to reduce power consumption and improve noise immunity.
To use the PCA9554 to control LEDs, connect the LEDs to the output pins of the PCA9554 and set the corresponding bits in the Output Port Register to 1 to turn the LEDs on or 0 to turn them off.
The PCA9554 can sink or source up to 25 mA of current on each output pin.
