A good PCB layout for the LTC1992 involves keeping the input and output traces short and away from noise sources, using a solid ground plane, and placing the device close to the input signal source. A 4-layer PCB with a dedicated ground plane is recommended.
To ensure proper biasing, connect the VCC pin to a stable voltage source between 2.7V and 5.5V, and the GND pin to a solid ground plane. The VCC pin should be decoupled with a 0.1uF capacitor to reduce noise.
The LTC1992 can handle input signal amplitudes up to 5Vpp differential, but it's recommended to keep the input amplitude below 3Vpp to ensure optimal performance and minimize distortion.
For single-ended input mode, connect the IN+ pin to the input signal and the IN- pin to ground. For differential input mode, connect the IN+ pin to one input signal and the IN- pin to the other input signal.
The recommended output load impedance for the LTC1992 is 1kΩ or higher to ensure optimal performance and minimize output distortion.
