A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane is recommended. Keep the analog and digital grounds separate and connect them at a single point. Use a low-ESR capacitor for the VCC pin and a 10uF capacitor for the AVCC pin.
Ensure that the VCC pin is powered up before the AVCC pin. The VCC pin should be powered up first, followed by the AVCC pin. The device is fully operational after the power-up sequence is complete and the internal clock is stable.
A high-quality, low-jitter clock source is recommended. The device can use an external clock source or an internal oscillator. For optimal performance, use a clock source with a jitter of less than 100 ps.
Use the power-down mode to reduce power consumption when the device is not in use. Disable the internal oscillator and use an external clock source when possible. Optimize the clock frequency and voltage regulator settings for the specific application.
