A good PCB layout for the LM66100DCKT should prioritize thermal dissipation. Place the device near a thermal pad or a heat sink, and ensure good copper pour connectivity to dissipate heat. Avoid routing high-current traces near the device to minimize thermal resistance.
To ensure stable output voltage regulation, ensure that the input voltage is within the recommended range, and the output capacitor is of sufficient value (at least 10uF) and ESR (less than 1 ohm). Also, ensure that the feedback resistors are of high precision and low tolerance.
The maximum input voltage that can be applied to the LM66100DCKT is 42V. Exceeding this voltage may cause damage to the device. It's recommended to add input voltage protection, such as a TVS diode, to prevent overvoltage conditions.
