A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane is recommended. Keep the input and output traces short and away from each other to minimize coupling. Use a common mode choke or a ferrite bead to filter the power supply.
The HMC472ALP4ETR requires a single supply voltage between 3.3V and 5V. Ensure the voltage supply is well-regulated and decoupled with 0.1uF and 10uF capacitors. The device also requires a bias current of around 10mA, which can be achieved with a 1kΩ resistor from the output to the supply voltage.
The maximum power dissipation of the HMC472ALP4ETR is 1.5W. Ensure the device is mounted on a PCB with a thermal conductivity of at least 1W/m-K to prevent overheating.
