The maximum voltage that can be applied to the VM pin is 15V, but it's recommended to keep it below 12V for reliable operation.

The internal voltage regulator generates a 5V supply for the internal logic and can be used to power external circuitry. The DRV8833CPWPR has a built-in overcurrent protection feature that can be enabled by connecting the OC pin to the VM pin. The device will automatically shut down if the current exceeds the set limit, and can be reset by toggling the EN pin.
