The maximum power dissipation of DRV632PWR is 2.5W. However, it's recommended to keep the junction temperature (TJ) below 150°C to ensure reliable operation.
The inductor value depends on the input voltage, output voltage, and switching frequency. A good starting point is to use the inductor selection guide provided in the datasheet or use online inductor selection tools.
The EN (enable) pin is used to turn the device on or off. It's an active-high input, meaning the device is enabled when EN is high and disabled when EN is low. Connect EN to a logic high (e.g., VCC) to enable the device, or connect it to a logic low (e.g., GND) to disable it.
Ensure the input voltage (VIN) is within the recommended range (4.5V to 18V), and the output voltage (VOUT) is within the specified range (1.2V to 15V). Also, keep the junction temperature (TJ) below 150°C and the ambient temperature (TA) within the specified range (-40°C to 85°C).
The PG (power good) pin is an open-drain output that indicates when the output voltage is within regulation. It's pulled low when the output voltage is out of regulation or during startup. Use a pull-up resistor to connect PG to a logic high (e.g., VCC) to monitor the power good status.
