The BD139-16 can operate safely between -55°C to 150°C, but the recommended operating temperature range is -40°C to 125°C for optimal performance.
To ensure linear operation, the BD139-16 should be biased with a base-emitter voltage (VBE) between 0.6V to 0.8V, and a collector-emitter voltage (VCE) greater than 1V. Additionally, the base current should be limited to prevent overheating.
