A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane is recommended. The component should be placed near the edge of the board to minimize radiation. A via-stitching technique can be used to connect the ground plane to the chassis.
Use a network analyzer to measure the impedance of the antenna and the BAL-CC25-01D3. Then, use a Smith chart to determine the optimal matching network. The BAL-CC25-01D3 has a 50 ohm input impedance, so a conjugate match is recommended.
The BAL-CC25-01D3 can handle up to 2W of continuous power. However, it's recommended to derate the power handling based on the operating frequency, temperature, and other environmental factors.
Use a low-noise amplifier (LNA) before the BAL-CC25-01D3 to reduce the noise figure. Additionally, ensure that the input signal is properly filtered and matched to the BAL-CC25-01D3.
The BAL-CC25-01D3 operates from -40°C to 85°C. However, the performance may degrade at extreme temperatures. It's recommended to operate the device within the recommended temperature range for optimal performance.
