Texas Instruments recommends a 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane, and to keep the analog and digital signals separate. The analog signals should be routed close to the ADC, and the digital signals should be routed away from the ADC. Additionally, the power and ground pins should be decoupled with 0.1uF and 10uF capacitors.
The clock signal should be a low-jitter, high-frequency clock (e.g. 20-50 MHz) with a 50% duty cycle. The clock signal should be routed close to the ADC and should not be shared with other devices. Additionally, the clock signal should be decoupled with a 0.1uF capacitor.
The recommended power-up sequence is to first apply the analog power supply (AVDD), followed by the digital power supply (DVDD), and finally the clock signal. The power-down sequence should be reversed.
