A good PCB layout for the AD8354 involves keeping the input and output traces short and symmetrical, using a solid ground plane, and placing the device close to the analog power supply. A 4-layer PCB with a dedicated analog ground plane is recommended.
To ensure proper biasing, connect the VPOS and VNEG pins to a stable voltage source, and decouple them with 10uF and 100nF capacitors, respectively. Also, ensure the input common-mode voltage is within the recommended range of 1.5V to 3.5V.
The AD8354 can handle input voltages up to ±5V, but it's recommended to limit the input voltage to ±3V to ensure optimal performance and prevent damage to the device.
To reduce noise and EMI, use a low-pass filter at the input, keep the input and output traces away from digital signals, and use a shielded enclosure. Also, consider using a common-mode choke or a ferrite bead to filter out high-frequency noise.
The AD8354 is specified to operate over a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C, but optimal performance is achieved between 0°C and 70°C. Operating the device outside this range may affect its performance and reliability.
