A good PCB layout for the AD8353 involves keeping the input and output traces short and symmetrical, using a solid ground plane, and placing the device close to the analog power supply. A 4-layer PCB with a dedicated analog ground plane is recommended.
To ensure proper biasing, connect the VPOS and VNEG pins to a stable voltage source, and decouple them with 0.1uF and 10uF capacitors. The VREF pin should be connected to a stable voltage reference, and the VCM pin should be connected to a quiet analog ground.
The AD8353 input and output should be terminated with 50Ω resistors to match the impedance of the device. This ensures maximum power transfer and minimizes signal reflections.
To minimize EMI, use a shielded enclosure, keep the device away from high-frequency sources, and use a common-mode choke or ferrite bead on the input and output lines. Additionally, use a low-pass filter or a pi-filter to reduce high-frequency noise.
The AD8353 has a thermal pad on the bottom of the package. To ensure proper thermal management, attach a thermal pad or a heat sink to the package, and ensure good airflow around the device. The maximum junction temperature is 150°C.
