The 24LC64-I/SM has a minimum of 1 million write cycles, but this can vary depending on the operating conditions and usage patterns.
The 24LC64-I/SM uses a page write buffer to handle writes. The device is organized into 128-byte pages, and writes can be performed in 1-byte increments. For block writes, the device can be written in 128-byte blocks.
The WP (Write Protect) pin is used to prevent writes to the entire device or a specific block of memory. When the WP pin is tied to VCC, the entire device is write-protected. When the WP pin is tied to a specific block's WP pin, only that block is write-protected.
The 24LC64-I/SM requires a specific power-up and power-down sequencing to ensure proper operation. The device should be powered up with VCC rising to a minimum of 2.5V before the SCL clock signal is applied. During power-down, the SCL clock signal should be stopped before VCC falls below 2.5V.
